About This Course
Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognise, understand and manage one’s own emotions, as well as the emotions of others. For children to develop emotional intelligence, they must first be able to identify their feelings. Children can learn to regulate their emotions and express themselves healthily and productively by identifying and acknowledging their feelings.
Children who learn to identify and express their emotions are better equipped to handle difficult situations and communicate effectively with others. Additionally, understanding their feelings can help children to regulate their emotions and develop coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and anxiety. Parents, educators, and caregivers can help children build a strong foundation for positive mental health and well-being by encouraging them to explore their emotions and express themselves openly.
All About Our Feelings is divided into two (2) parts to discuss how educators can help children identify and express their feelings positively.
